Initial Breastfeeding Consultation

Service Description

During the initial lactation consultation, we will review both maternal and newborn health and birth histories, conduct a thorough examination of your baby, and assess breast anatomy. I will observe a full feeding session to evaluate milk transfer and provide appropriate assistance to address any challenges. We will discuss a wide range of topics, including but not limited to: expected newborn feeding patterns, latching difficulties, nipple pain, engorgement, milk supply concerns, infant oral anatomy, and pumping.
